Vasile Iuga was the Country Managing Partner of PwC Romania between 2004-2015 and Managing Partner of PwC for South East Europe, a region which covers 11 countries, between 2008-2015. Also, between 2004-2015 he was a member of the PwC Central and Eastern Europe Management Board, being the longest serving member.
He is one of the most experienced leaders of the Romanian business environment, being known for an excellent knowledge of local and international companies, gained during his involvement in hundreds of projects from all industries, but also in regional projects. His areas of expertise include audit in compliance with International Standards on auditing the financial statements, prepared in accordance with regulations of the International Accounting Standards and financial analysis. He has a rich experience in financial reporting in compliance with the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Vasile Iuga is a member of a wide range of professional bodies, including the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA-UK) - as Fellow, the Chamber of Romanian Financial Auditors (CAFR) - as financial auditor, the Body of Expert and Licensed Accountants of Romania (CECCAR) - as expert accountant, the Romanian Association of Evaluators (ANEVAR) - as expert in enterprise evaluation. He served as well as a member of the Board of the Chamber of Financial Auditors in Romania and of the Public Company Audit Oversight Board. He was also the Vice-President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Romania (AmCham) for a considerable number of years. He is an active member of the Board of the Aspen Institute in Romania.
Vasile Iuga holds a Degree in Aeronautics from the Polytechnic University of Bucharest. He attended training sessions at Harvard Business School, London Business School, INSEAD and IMD Business School.
